Bequests

Your bequest in a will or living trust is a simple way to help sustain the PBGV breed. Bequests to the Foundation will assure future research funding to improve the health of our breed and to assist PBGV’s in need of rescue. Contact Laura Liscum (laura.liscum@tufts.edu).

  • A bequest may take several forms: It can be a specific sum, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder of your estate after expenses and gifts to loved ones.
  • Bequests can include: Cash, securities, real estate, and personal property such as valuable art, antiques, or jewelry.
  • Living trusts may also include bequests: The terms of a living trust, unlike a will, are effective immediately upon death, bypassing probate and keeping the terms of your living trust private.

By including the PBGV Health and Rescue Foundation in your will or living trust, you participate in promoting and funding research into the health of our breed, and by providing valuable assistance for the rescue of purebred Petit Basset Griffon Vendéens. Participants receive special recognition in our annual report and announcements at special events.
