Officers & Board of Directors
The PBGV Health & Rescue Foundation is guided by a dedicated team of volunteers who bring deep love for the Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen, professional expertise, and a shared commitment to the breed’s health, welfare, and future.
Our Officers and Board members serve without compensation, donating their time, skills, and passion to oversee research funding, health testing support, rescue operations, education, and transparent governance. They meet regularly to review progress, approve grants and reimbursements, plan initiatives, and ensure every decision aligns with our mission.
All board members are elected or appointed in accordance with our bylaws and serve terms as outlined in our governing documents (available in the Reports & Statements section). We are grateful for their tireless service and the collective wisdom they bring to protecting and supporting PBGVs everywhere.

Are you interested in becoming a Board Member? Fill out this application below.
Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Foundation Board of Directors. The Board consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and between three and nine other persons. The term of office is two years beginning on the date of the annual meeting, which coincides with the PBGVCA National Specialty or occurs soon thereafter. Each Director must be a member in good standing of PBGVCA and a U.S. citizen.
We ask that persons interested in becoming a Director submit an application, then participate in our conference calls over the course of one year before standing for election. Directors are elected at the annual meeting by majority vote.
